Fine Art Silkscreen By Andy Warhol Moonwalk (1987), an iconic screenprint by the legendary Pop artist Andy Warhol. It depicts astronaut Buzz Aldrin standing on the lunar surface beside the American flag during the 1969 Apollo 11 mission.
Artistic Background and Meaning
The "TV" Series: Moonwalk was intended to be part of a larger portfolio titled TV, which would have documented major televised moments in American history, such as Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech and the Beatles' appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
Final Masterpiece: Due to Warhol’s unexpected death in February 1987, Moonwalk became the only completed subject in the series and stands as one of his final works.
Creative Composition: Although meant to celebrate television, Warhol did not use a broadcast still. Instead, he combined two separate NASA photographs taken by Neil Armstrong—mirror-reversing one to place Aldrin next to the flag.
Symbolism: By using vibrant "Pop" colors like neon pinks, yellows, and electric blues, Warhol transformed a scientific achievement into a shared cultural icon and modern myth. Notably, the reflections in Aldrin's visor are often seen to resemble Warhol's initials, "AW".

If it has relied on significant evaluation assistance from any individual or individuals in the performance of this evaluation or the appropriation of this evaluation report, PM-LAPG has named such individuals and disclosed the specific task performed in this evaluation report. PM-LAPG certifies that any individual so named is qualified to the same extent as PM to perform the task. PM-LAPG has not authorized anyone to make a change to any item in this evaluation report, therefore, any change made to this evaluation is unauthorized and PM-LAPG will not take responsibility for it.
VI) The Client may not disclose or distribute this Evaluation Report to any potential purchasers of the subject property without first obtaining PM-LAPG's prior written consent. This consent must be obtained before this evaluation report may be disclosed or distributed to any other party, including, but not limited to, the public through advertising, public relations, news, sales, or other media.
